Exciting Changes Are Coming to Cinderella Castle with New Paint!
As we approach the eagerly anticipated repainting of Cinderella Castle, a fresh splash of pink paint has caught our attention.
New Paint Alert
Just this morning, we observed an intriguing patch of darker pink on Cinderella Castle. This new hue resembles what you might see at the beginning of a painting project, where color tests are done to see how they appear in the actual environment. Alternatively, this could very well be the original pink shade, leading us to wonder if Disney is assessing the extent of fading over time.
The noticeable area is positioned prominently at the front of Cinderella Castle, specifically to the right and nestled between two turrets. To give you better context, we’ve included a view from the castle’s front. We also have a side view that shows the path leading into Fantasyland. Historically, Cinderella Castle was adorned with various shades of gray complemented by light blue turrets. In 2020 and 2021, it underwent a transformation with a vibrant 50th-anniversary color scheme that introduced royal blue turrets, a different gray for the lower section, a soft pink for the upper half, and additional elegant gold trims.
In a summer announcement of 2025, Disney revealed plans to restore the castle to its classic color palette. Following that, they confirmed that the repainting would commence in January 2026 and conclude later that year. The start date for this exciting project is set for January 28!
