Located in Castel, La Grande Mare's greens and fairways are anticipated to welcome golfers starting August 2026, once they have matured and become fully established. This project is not just about the course; it also includes the opening of a golf performance center in November, designed to help players refine their skills. The remodeling work for the golf course kicked off in April 2023, marking the beginning of a significant upgrade.
According to club officials, the new framework for the country club is already taking shape and will include a variety of amenities such as a gym, a 25-meter swimming pool, a restaurant, and versatile function rooms. Fay Boyd, the operations manager, expressed her excitement, stating, "It's fantastic to see a glimpse of what the building will look like once complete." She went on to mention that construction will soon focus on ensuring the structure is protected from wind and water.
However, golfers will have to exercise a bit of patience—while the physical work on the 18-hole course has been completed, the extensive remodeling means that the entire course needs time to settle before it can be opened to the public.
