A compelling exploration of how the Miss Rancho Bernardo Scholarship Pageant transcends traditional pageant expectations, offering a transformative opportunity for young women to develop leadership, public speaking, and community engagement skills while building meaningful connections. This year, the program introduces a new title—Junior Teen Rancho Bernardo—giving girls aged 12–14 an avenue to experience the full spectrum of pageant challenges. These contestants will compete in four areas: introductory speech, personal interview, poise and personality, and an impromptu question during June 27 and 28. The orientation meeting, held at 10:30 AM Saturday, May 16, will provide workshops to help participants prepare. The interview competition will take place on June 27, and the pageant finals open to the public on Sunday, June 27, at Westview High School. The pageant is open to girls aged 12–21 living within Poway Unified School District boundaries, with no experience requirement. The $350 fee covers three workshops and includes guidance on confidence-building, speech delivery, interview skills, hair and makeup, and other aspects of preparation. Participants will learn to embrace discomfort, seek opportunities, and grow through challenges. Those interested can contact program director Camille Reyno at missrbcourt@gmail.com.
