The turning point came during the College Football Playoff (CFP), where he played his best game as a Hurricane in the National Championship Game against Indiana. Toure's performance in that game, where he totaled a season-high 11 tackles and earned an impressive 83.4 defense grade from PFF, was a testament to his hard work and determination.

"I feel like I was a leader last year, but we had a lot of leaders. Now I have taken a bigger role. We lost vocal leaders like Rueben Bain, Keionte Scott, and Jakobe Thomas. I had to step up even more and teach other guys how to lead," Toure said.

As the 2026 season approaches, Toure is in a great position. He is confident in his health, both physically and mentally, and is ready to showcase his full potential. The NCAA's decision to grant him an eighth year of eligibility due to his injury history has given Toure a unique opportunity to continue his journey with the Hurricanes.
"Yeah, people will troll me about how long I've been in college, but it's not by choice. This is my journey, and I'm grateful for the blessings it has brought. I get to play with the Canes, under elite coaches. I've seen everything, and experience is everything," Toure reflected.
