Emergency services rushed to the scene, forcibly opening the boot to find a man in his 30s, tied up and suffering from stab wounds. He was rushed to the hospital in stable condition, but footage revealed the extent of his injuries—bruises on his face and a neck brace securing his head. The scene was chaotic, with broken glass, a discarded walking crutch, and debris scattered around the car.
And this is the part most people miss: just hours earlier, another rideshare driver in Sydney’s west faced a terrifying ordeal. A 31-year-old Uber driver was allegedly stabbed in the arm by a 17-year-old passenger after a dispute over connecting to the car’s Bluetooth. The teen fled the scene but was later arrested at a home in Toongabbie, charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and denied bail. He’s set to appear in Children’s Court.
